Unlikeliness, Upsets, and Undefeated (Week 11 CFB)
To start things off in our Week 11 recap, we go to Atlanta where Miami (FL) took on Georgia Tech. Miami looked to remain unbeaten and get double digit wins on the season. Georgia Tech started off hot, scoring a touchdown two minutes into the game, but their lead wouldn't last long as Miami scored a minute later. Georgia Tech ended up taking the lead at halftime 14-10 and never gave it up again. They ended up winning 28-23, pulling off the upset and ruining Miami's perfect season.
Next up, we stick with the state of Georgia with Georgia vs. Ole Miss. This time, the team from Georgia wasn't so lucky. Although they went into the game as a heavy favorite and the number 3 team in the country, they could not hold off Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss. Georgia got off to a hot start, going up 7-0, but quickly gave up the lead and never got it back. Ole Miss ended up winning this matchup 28-10 in a rather boring game, unless of course you are an Ole Miss fan.
Next, we head to the state of Utah where we had a rivalry matchup between BYU and Utah. This matchup is always exciting, no matter what kind of year either team is having. In this case, BYU was undefeated and looked to remain so, and Utah was having a down year at 4-4. This didn't seem to matter though as it was back and forth the whole first half, until Utah sort of pulled away, going into halftime up 21-10. BYU would shut Utah out in the second half, though and take the lead 22-21, on a last second field goal to win the game. Like I said earlier, this matchup never disappoints.
We look forward to another week of college football in week 12. Week 11 did not disappoint, as we get closer to the end of the regular season and playoff time.
Week 12 notable matchups: Tennessee vs. Georgia, Texas vs. Arkansas, Utah vs. Colorado
